All Natural

Morning.
Today, my hubby and I are celebrating our 33rd Anniversary.  Hard to believe where the years have gone.
This is the simple card I came up with.

Right now I have an abundance of ferns growing in my garden...love the purity and natural look they give when using them to stamp with.  So, I picked a fern from my garden and used it as the focal point of my card to help represent the home we have created together.  It's so fun using things from nature to create with!

I placed the fern frond into my spray box, sprinkled Brushos over the whole piece then sprayed with water to activate the powder.  I carefully lifted it up and placed it onto my heavy weight cardstock.  Then using a piece of scrap paper, I pressed it firmly onto my paper to get a good impression and set it aside to dry.
When it was dry, I used some Salty Ocean Distress ink to watercolor the background and added some splatters for interest.
I mounted that onto a piece of black cardstock then stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and embossed it with white powder.  The sentiment was then pop dotted over the fern image.

Adding my card to these challenges:

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look and have a great weekend!

Supplies:  sentiment stamp?/ Brushos/ ink- Versamark, Distress/ paint brush/ fern from garden/ wh embossing powder/ heat gun/ Mini Mister

Congratulations, too. Time flies--try 44 years. That goes even faster.
I love your ideas and using natural leaves is a wonderful way to use what we have. Question: this is really dumb, so I am embarrassed, but do you turn the fern over to place on the paper now that it has the paint on top or does the paint just seep through?
Lovely card and something I will be trying once I figure out what to do.
Thanks.
