Peace

It's Tuesday and NO, you are not seeing blurry!  Since my supply of sympathy cards has been depleted, I took the time to create a card and play along with the CAS challenge at Splitcoast and the challenge at Moxie Fab; The wonders of watercolouring.  My card is all about the sunrise which we all really need right now here in Ontario after such a mixed bag of weather this Spring.

I started by masking the center area then stamped the flowers and then without re-inking stamped them again moving them slightly to the right to give a shadow effect.  Next, using Distress inks, I watercoloured the flowers and then sponged on the yellow, added the sentiment and the doodled border.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Garden Bliss

Welcome to the weekend!  I am still trying to get back on my feet and be functional so I can play along with some of the great challenges out there.  Today, I am playing along with the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast and here is what I came up with.  I am also adding this to the Moxie Fab challenge; The Wonders of Watercolours and the CAS-ual Fridays challenge; birthday bash.

Since I love to play with my markers and inks, watercolour stamping is so up my alley.  I love the colour variations you can achieve so simply. So I started by creating the background using a stamp from WPlus9.  I put Distress inks onto a non-stick pad then sprayed with water and used that as my ink pad.  For the hollyhocks, I coloured them using my Memento markers then sprayed with water before stamping.  The sentiment is from Penny Black.
Thanks so very much for coming by and taking a look.

OLW137 - Makeovers

Welcome to another week for the OLW challenge (One Layer Wednesday).  This week the challenge is:

MAKEOVERS- remake one of your cards

I decided to remake my 'doodled up' card seen HERE.

I want Spring to come and stay so badly so I decided to pull out my new stamp set from Rubberneckers and stamp some poppies.  I masked the center area, stamped the flowers and then sponged on Distress inks in yellows for a bright and sunny card.  The doodling just adds a bit of whimsy to it all.
I am adding my card to the Addicted to Cas challenge; flower.
Really hope you get a chance to play along this week.  Here are all the details:

OLW137 RULES

1. Create a one-layer card.  That is defined as a single layer of card stock folded in half. No other layers
    allowed!

2. Remake one of your cards.  Add a link to your remade card if you can.  Remember to keep embellishments
to a minimum and NO ADDITIONAL LAYERS of cardstock.
3. Post your card online and link it to the InLinkz button underneath.  If you link to your blog, please link to
the specific post, not your blog’s main page.
4. HAVE FUN! I am looking forward in seeing what you create!

Happy Thoughts

Welcome to Monday.  Hope you had a great weekend.  I am still recovering but was able to sit long enough to stamp a bit yesterday and played along with the Featured Stamper challenge at Splitcoast.and also the challenge at Addicted to CAS where the keyword is 'FRIEND'.
Creating my background was quick, easy and fun.  First I inked up my acrylic block with Distress inks in blues then sprayed with water and stamped onto my cardstock.  I then wrapped elastic bands around my block, inked again then stamped over the blue.  I added the sentiment from Penny Black and the die cut flowers.  Thanks so very much and coming by to take a look.

Everything's Rosy

Everything's rosy or at least getting better!  I have missed being able to sit and stamp and play along with the challenges.  I made this card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast today.  I stamped the Bed of Roses from Penny Black and cut it into pieces which was very easily done with this great background stamp.  The rose was done by stamping it and cutting it into pieces so I could pop dot it for mounting.
Hope your weekend is going well.

So Glad to be Back

Phew.....it has been a long struggle and I am thrilled to be back and able to stamp again.  I SO APPRECIATED all your wonderful emails and much needed prayers....it really touched my heart!!
Today, I am playing along with the Free for All challenge at Splitcoast; create a card with a sunny feel.  I got my sunny yellow ink out and the blue which reminded me of a blue sky on a sunny day.  I really need some sun right now as we are in the middle of an ice storm in April!!!  What's up with that??
Hope you have a great weekend and thanks so very much for stopping by to take a look.
