Hello and Welcome.
This is what I came up with today.
A very simple card using a technique that is very easy but gives a totally different look to your stencilled cards. I love the bold impression that these leaves from the Big Leaves stencil gives.
So onto my card details.
I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock and positioned my stencil over my background.
Make sure you wear some rubber gloves for this technique or you will have totally inky fingers.
I took a baby wipe and dripped 3 colours of Distress re-inkers onto it. I bunched it up a bit then pushed the colour through the stencil using my fingers to apply pressure. I pressed and pressed until all the areas were covered with ink. I love how nicely the colours blend and you get more of a mottled look to your stencilling.
When all was dry, I placed the piece into my Misti and stamped the sentiment. I splattered with some black acrylic paint and a bit of the re-inker left over, then mounted it onto a plain white card base.
Well that's it for today.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
Here is the stencil I used.
