Welcome
Meet today's card.
Just a fun one playing around with this Stretched Xs stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.
It reminded me of roads, so I went with that idea.
So here's what I did to create my card.
- I began by cutting a piece of white cardstock and put it onto my stencil mat with the Stretched Xs stencil over that.
- I simply inked it up with Distress Oxide inks that I thought looked good together. They were: Prize Ribbon, Peacock Feather and some Wilted Violet.
- I removed the stencil and let the ink dry.
- I stamped the little retro car and fussy cut it out. I did the same with the word bubble.
- I glued the stenciled piece onto some purple cardstock, then onto a heavy white card base.
- I pop dotted the little car and the word bubble over the stenciling.
Here is the stencil I used:

I love the way you have used that stencilled background as a roadway for your card and love the blue and purple tones, and a great sentiment too Karen. x
Wonderful use of the stencil Karen, and a fun 'thinking of you' type card
Blessings
Maxine
I've driven a few roads that felt like this in my day, Karen! None were nearly as cute - nor was the car I drove! Love your spiffy two-door! So fun!
