I just got this new stamp set from Paper Smooches and have been dying to play with it. I had time to play along with the CAS challenge at Splitcoast; to use newspaper or dictionary script on your card and the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays; over the edge. I had a piece of paper that I had inked with Distress inks and my acrylic block sitting on my desk, so I stamped over it with the newspaper text from Hero Arts and then added the sentiment in black. The snowflake is cut with a Spellbinders die and sponged while still in the die. The embossed bkg. is a Sizzix folder.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
Supplies: stamps; Paper Smooches, Hero Arts/ Spellbinders/ Distress ink/ pearl/ twine
I love that simple snowflake and fun sentiment on that background!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous. The embossing on the snowflake and the addition of the newsprint stamp are great details that really finish the card perfectly.
ReplyDeleteLove this! I am a big fan of distress inks and love the banner you made for the sentiment. It really pops. I have dictionaries that pepole tossed and it drives hubby batty when I rip pages from them or old books. I try explaining it is for "art".
ReplyDeleteOOH - love that you sponged the snowflake (I need to remember to try that one time before I take the paper out of the die!) and really love how your flowery ef becomes quite snowy when put together with the snowflake. Great card!
