Scent of a Rose

Happy Saturday.  Today I am playing along with 3 challenges.  The Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast got me thinking (see below)....the theme at Cas-ual Fridays is Love Song (Bed of Roses by Bon Jovi) and last but not least, the challenge at CASology is Fairytale (the oldest version of Snow White and Rose Red her sister by Brothers Grimm).
I began by creating my bkg.  I did that by rubbing Distress inks in pink onto my cardstock with a sponge in a circular motion, adding water with my water pen to blend.  I then stamped my rose from a large background stamp called Bed of Roses by Penny Black, cut one of the roses out and coloured it with Distress inks and again my water pen.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.  Hope you have a great weekend.  So wonderful to see the sun shining today after a major snow storm yesterday.

Supplies:  stamps; Penny Black/ Distress inks/ sponge/ water pen/ edge punch

  1. Another stunning background! I love how you do that! Perfect for the pretty rose - they look like soft/blurry roses themselves! Thanks so much for playing along with us at CASology this week, Karen!

Love the rose on the sentiment panel, it makes the card 'pop'.
Will have to get my unused inks out, they are still as I bought them ....shame on me.
