Meet today's card. I definitely have flowers on the brain lately. Everytime I sit down to make a card these days, I grab for my flower stamps and my blue inks....aahh....love. When I saw the Colour Challenge at Splitcoast yesterday, I was in HEAVEN. I didn't have the exact colours that the challenge showed, so I improvised and used my Distress inks in the colours that came closest.
I started by using a stencil and gesso to create the circle backdrop. The strip at the bottom was made by inking my Hero Arts stamp with Distress inks then spraying with water to blend. I added it to my card on the diagonal for interest. The flower was also watercoloured with Distress inks, cut apart and pop dot mounted for interest.
