Blue Skies

Blue Skies.  Don't we all want that in our lives.  Happy times and sunny days...it's been a long winter!

My card is inspired by the challenge today at Splitcoast.  I also wanted to have a chance to play with a new product I just got called Goosebumps.  It is a product in a dabber bottle that can be applied to stamps or over stencils.  It leaves a textured surface when it dries.  On my card, I applied it over a stencil from The Crafter's Workshop and when it was dry, I applied Distress inks in Salty Ocean over it to add the colour.  I love how it turned out with a distressed, weathered look.
The flower panel is stamped onto a piece of cardstock that has been coloured with Salty Ocean and Peacock Feather Distress inks and water.  When it was dry, I went back and coloured in the flowers using a white Signo pen and then stamped the sentiment.  The panel is added to the card front with pop dots.

Adding my card to this challenge:

Addicted to Stamps- #91 ANYTHING GOES

Thanks so very much for coming by and taking a look.  Hope you have a sunny, blue sky weekend.

Supplies:  stamps- Memory Box, Mama Elephant/ Goosebumps/ stencil TCW/ Distress ink/ Memento bl/ pop dots

  1. Oh, Karen, I just LOVE this technique, and I always love blue - our favorite color!! I've not heard of the dauber bottle of Goosebumps, but I do have a spray bottle of Goosebumps, which I've not used yet! LOL! You're inspiring me to get that out and play! Beautiful card with the great sentiment! And, yes, we all want blue skies, but life isn't that way. But we have friends that help through the cloudy ones! Hugs, sweet friend!
