Reach for the Stars


This week, the Clean and Simple challenge at Splitcoast was to create a card with a star on it.  Well I scratched my head as I have maybe 2 star stamps, then remembered this sweet silhouette image of the girl catching a star.
I began by inking up my embossing folder with Distress inks 
(colours:  Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves , Shaded Lilac, Peeled Paint)
sprayed with water then pressed my paper into the wet ink.  The colours blend with the water and you are left with the impression of the embossing folder on your cardstock.  When that was all dry, I stamped the girl and the sentiment in Memento black.

    How adorable that girl catching the star is! I absolutely love all the cards you made with this new embossing folder technique and really want to try it out!
    Just in case you were wondering why I wasn't commenting lately - we were in NYC last week and my time on the computer was very limited...
