Road Trip

edited- Happy to say my card won the Addicted to CAS challenge.


Road Trip.  Wouldn't you love to go on one right now.  That is the theme of the new challenge at ONE- LAYER SIMPLICITY this month.  When I think of going on a road trip, I think of going to the beach so here is the card I came up with.  
I wanted a watery-blue background for my scene and this one is so easy to do.  I inked up my acrylic block with Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers Distress inks.  Just rubbed the ink pad right on the block and spray with water before stamping on your card front.  When I lifted the block, the ink had pooled near the top so I dried it with my heat gun for the watery look.  When dry, I stamped the lighthouse, birds and the sentiment in black Memento ink.

    Oh so beautiful, Karen! I LOVE how you are using the Distress Inks, and I have to try the acrylic block with a spritz! Beautiful effect with this lighthouse! And, yes, I'd love you to come to the beach with me!! Hugs, sweet friend!
