Father's Day is quickly approaching so I wanted to get a jump on it by having a card all ready to go.
I am really loving the Tim Holtz watercolouring paper. I had a scrap of it on my desk so I inked up my acrylic block with Salty Ocean and Broken China Distress ink, sprayed with lots of water and pressed it onto my paper. I let the puddles of ink dry then stamped the silhouette trees. I love how the puddled paint looks like clouds in the sky. I mounted the panel with pop dots and stamped the sentimen.
I am adding my card to these challenges:
Simon Says- ANYTHING GOES
Simply Create Too- FATHER'S DAY
The Male Room- TREES
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
Supplies: stamps- Flonz, Gina K/ Distress ink/ Watercolour paper/ pop dots/ Memento Bl/ pop dots
Love that puddled sky, Karen! Perfect background for those dramatic silhouette trees.

Your background turned out beautifully, Karen. Isn't it fun to see where the watery paint takes a card?

ReplyDeleteI love this look. I really need to try this. I think even I could handle this kind of water coloring. This reminds me of the Stampscapes technique, but a lot less work!
