Good Morning. Beautiful sunny morning here and feeling inspired to make a card. I am playing along with the sketch challenge at Splitcoast this am. and my Distress inks.
Last week, I tried inking up a chalkboard background stamp from Penny Black with Distress inks and sprayed with water but when I stamped, the words weren't visible and the colours all blended together. I loved the look so that is what I did for this card. I inked the stamp with Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade Distress inks, sprayed with a generous amount of water and stamped on Tim Holtz watercolour paper. I inked the stamp again, sprayed with more water, turned the stamp in the opposite direction and stamped on top of the first inking for better coverage. The colours are so bold and bright. I stamped the numbers that reminded me of graffiti and the skateboarder in Memento Black ink.
