Falling Leaves


A slight departure from making Christmas cards this am as I needed a birthday card.  This card would easily translate into a Thanksgiving card or even a Christmas card by replacing the leaves with snowflakes...mmm...may have to try that!  All stamps used on my simple card are from Penny Black.

I began by masking off an area at the bottom of my card and sponged on Antique Linen Distress ink.  I then stamped over that with the script called Letter Background.  It gives another level of depth to the bkg. especially if you use the same colour of ink.  
I inked up the leaves from the Lush and Lavish set using Distress inks (Fired Brick, Squeezed Lemonade, Rusty Hinge, Ripe Persimmon, Dried Marigold), sprayed with water and stamped.
