Today at Splitcoast, we are celebrating the Red Cross with making a card using red and white.

It gave me the perfect chance to use the newly released stamp from Penny Black called
Trumpet Song. What a fantastic stamp to use for a watercolouring technique.
Here's what I did. I used Memento and Crayola markers in shades of red and two shades of green to colour directly onto my stamp. I sprayed the stamp with water and stamped onto my watercolour paper. I then scribbled my Memento marker onto my acrylic block, added water and then using a paint brush, flicked the background with red splatters.
I inked the sentiment from Sprinkles and Smiles with black Memento ink and stamped it in the corner. I like this saying as you can use is it for so many different occasions.
I am adding my card to these challenges:

Another lovely, Karen. That red pops off the page and it's my favorite color so it makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Karen!! Just Beautiful. I have a special place in my heart for Morning Glories, they are one of those amazing plants that just keeps reseeding itself to enjoy in my garden and flower pots, year after year. Except for the year I planted White Moon flowers with blue and red morning glories in flower pots and expected a Red-White-Blue show. LOL The purples, pinks and blues are more hardy. I also love to gather the seeds at Summer/Fall and share them. Thanks for sharing your wonderful Water Colors!
