Happy Saturday!
A quick card today using a Tim Holtz stencil I just got.
I began by masking the edges of my cardstock with Painter's Tape to give a nice white border without adding all the layers. I used Picked Raspberry, Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint Distress inks and an ink applicator to add the colour over the flowers of my stencil.
Using the same greens, I sponged the edges giving a nice defined border on the white cardstock.
Lastly, I stamped this great sentiment from Impression Obsession in the corner.
When I went to mount my stenciled piece onto a white card front it needed some colour and I didn't have any pink that matched so I used the Picked Raspberry again and inked all the edges of the white card front so when mounted it matches perfectly.
I am added my card to these challenges:

ReplyDeleteOh, Karen!!! This is GORGEOUS! What an amazing card with just a stencil and that great sentiment! Absolutely gorgeous colors, my friend, and isn't it great how we can create our own matting with the inks and Copics? Love it!! Hugs, sweet friend! You are hitting them all "out of the park" - wow!
ReplyDeleteOh my word!!! Seriously gorgeous, Karen. Lovely juicy vibrant colours... so perfect for this design.

You're right up there with nature, Karen! Gorgeous flowers in one of my favorite colors! Love the inked edges that are a perfect match! Hope you're having a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteLovely, and the green border around the flowers sets your design off perfectly. Would never have known the pink outer edge was anything but the perfect color of cardstock...very effective means of getting the right color! TFS

Such a beautiful stencil and you've created a stunning card with it. I love how you've gently blended the green in from the edges, leaving the centre part white.
