Starburst

Happy Saturday.

This morning I am being inspired by challenge at Splitcoast and the Forzieri site where I found this beautiful necklace:

My card is a one-layer so I began by masking the edges first with painter's tape.  I took my new stamp from Neat and Tangled and stamped numerous times with Versamark ink, then heat embossed with whiter embossing powder.
Then the fun began....I grabbed my blue Distress inks and just started sponging concentrating the darker blues to the center of the starburst.  To draw your eye even more into the center of the burst, I used my circle stencil and added some white circles with white Colorbox ink.  I love how it added to the look of the center.  I also splattered water over the whole piece to mimic the look of stars.
Stamped that great sentiment from Stamplorations to finish off my card.

Adding my card to these challenges:

One-Layer Simplicity- SPARKLE and SHINE

The Male Room- SONG TITLE

Virginia's View- 100% STAMPED

Craft Stamper- ANYTHING GOES

STAMPlorations- STAMPING and DISTRESSING

Thanks so very much for coming by and taking a look.

Supplies:  stamps- STAMPlorations, Neat and Tangled/ Distress ink/ Versamark/ wh. embossing powder/ heat tool/ ink applicator/ crystal/ Memento bl ink
