Happy New Year


Happy New Year 2016!

This is the first card I have had a chance to post this year.  
I was back to work this week and the time just flew by.  I wanted to send out a few Happy New Year cards and the challenge at Splitcoast this morning was just the inspiration I needed.
We are being inspired by another wonderfully done Pinterest board called Winter White.  
Here is the photo my card is based on:


I changed the colour of the berries to blue as I felt the red still looked too Christmasy.
Using my trusty MISTI, I inked up the berries stamp from Memory Box using Memento markers, sprayed with water and stamped.  I repeated the process, adding colour variations to the berries.
When that was all dry, I sponged the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress ink and stamped the sentiment from Technique Tuesday with black Memento using my MISTI again.

    You have started the New Year with a Bang. Love the colour choice. Beautiful card Karen. BTW there is a new challenge starting and is called Double D Challenges. Super talent on the DT. I think you should enter your card there. It's all about blue... Check it out.
