Happy New Year and welcome to another fun challenge at the
Here is the simple card I made for the challenge.
I love the variations of colours on the snowflakes all thanks to my Distress inks.
I began by inking the inside of my embossing folder with Versamark ink, placed my paper inside and ran it through my Cuttlebug. I then applied white embossing powder and heat set. By doing that, I created a resist background that I could add colour too.
Next, I rubbed Distress ink colours all over my non-stick craft mat, sprayed with water and pulled the paper through the wet ink. I rubbed off the extra ink that was sitting on top of the embossed areas to reveal my colourful snowflakes. To enhance the look, I used some more Distress inks and a paint brush to get into the small areas.
I stamped the Thanks from SSS onto a piece of vellum and attached that to the front.
The finishing touch was a small snowflake from SSS and a green gem in the center.
