Winter Wonders

Warm Comforts for Winter.
I think of cozy blankets, hot chocolate, a warm fireplace.

It's half way through January (already!) and time for another card for the
CAS WATERCOLOUR Challenge.

I just got the new snowflake set by Tim Holtz and wanted to play with it.  I love the distressed look of this beautiful snowflake.  I inked it up with Versamark ink and stamped it once onto my card front and then again on another piece of cardstock.  Next, I heat embossed both stamped imaged with clear powder.

For the snowflake on the main card front, I rubbed Cracked Pistachio and Broken China Distress inks over just the area where the snowflake appears.
For the panel, I sprinkled on Brushos just over my embossed image and sprayed with water.
I then cut down the panel to pop dot over my card front snowflake.
Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts with black Memento ink and added the clear gem.

Adding my card to these challenges:

Curtain Call- ICICLE

The Male Room- ANYTHING GOES

HLS Mixed Media- LAYERS

Kreativeinkauf Challenge- SNOWFLAKES

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Supplies:  stamps- Hero Arts, TH/ Brushos/ ink- Versamark, Memento/ clear eb powder/ clear gem/Mini Mister

  2. Wow...Love your stamped and heat eb snowflake on your card front and then stamped and heat eb again on your panel. Your emboss resist coloring with DI's on the card front and then again with Brushos on your panel were a stroke of Genius my friend. So effective and eye catching. TFS my friend. Hugs..
