Good Morning.
This month we are casing a gorgeous card made by Therese Calvird.
I began by stamping the flowers using a set from Stampin Up onto a piece of leftover inky paper.
I fussy cut them out and set them aside.
I die-cut the 'Blessed' sentiment from Penny Black and inked just the bottom using Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers Distress ink.
I wanted to add my flowers to a textured background so I scored lined using my ScorPal and my ScorBug. I cut the piece to make a split panel then placed my sentiment overlapping both parts.
I mounted the flowers over the panel then added a black gem to the flower centers.

ReplyDeleteLOVE those flowers ... they are gorgeous. The colour mix is so pretty. And I love the texture from your scored background. You sent me a scor-bug a long time ago, but I've never been able to make a straight line with it ... will try using it with my scor-pal. Thanks!! What jumped out as so unique is the die-cut sentiment. Have the split panel with the sentiment overlapping each and colouring just the bottom is so unique and creative, my friend. xx

Did you say "leftover" inky paper? Such a wonderful kaleidoscope of colour! Love how you split the embossed layer to draw attention to the fabulous half-coloured word sentiment diecut.

The inky scrap was perfect for those flowers, Karen. I can't imagine scoring all those lines. Do you need someone to send you an embossing folder? ;)
