Welcome
It's time for another card for the
This month our theme is silhouette...right up my alley!
This card came together so quickly.
I inked the background using an acylic sheet and some Brushos. The acrylic sheet is a backing from one of my stamp sets that is thin and flexible.
So, I sprinkled some Leaf Green Brushos onto the acrylic sheet, sprayed it with a bit of water to activate the ink and pressed onto my paper. I repeated that process using some Turquoise Brushos and water until I was happy with the colour placement. Since the acrylic sheet is so thin, I could bend it and place the ink exactly where I wanted it to go.
Next, I placed this Love Letter stamp (new-to-me) into my Misti, inked with Archival Black ink and stamped. It has all the details and splatters already on it so it's a super easy stamp to use and get great details and interest with little effort. I clear embossed the image to get it to really pop.
I did add a hint of stenciling behind the main image using a Tim Holtz stencil and some Distress ink.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
You still have time to come and play along with us too.
