Good Morning.
Today, I am playing with this new stamp called 'In Paris' from Penny Black.
I can only imagine what it would be like to travel and see the Eiffel Tower.
I wanted to try and depict the sense of rain so here's what I did.
I began by placing the stamp inside my Misti, inked it with Memento black ink and stamped onto my card front. I clear heat embossed it so it would resist the ink I was about to add.
Next, I took a piece of acetate, inked it up with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxides, sprayed with water and pressed onto my paper. I repeated that process again using some Salty Ocean and a touch of Faded Jeans DOX.
To see a pictorial I did go here:
I love the way the inking gave my card such a feeling of being in the rain.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

ReplyDeleteKaren, that Penny Black stamp is incredible. I love the images, especially since they are such a deep black on your card, having been heat embossed. But it's your incredible background of Distress Oxides which brings the scene to life. Those three colours are magical together. Beautiful work!
