Let's Be Grateful

Hello and Welcome
This weekend we celebrated our Canadian Thanksgiving.
It was so great to have family and friends with us to enjoy and be grateful for all we have.
Here is a card I created for some special friends.

So onto my card.
I just recently picked up some Alcohol Lifting Ink by TH Ranger and wanted to try it out.
When using it, you add alcohol inks onto a piece of Yupo or photo paper and stamp using the ink to lift the colour.  Then, you stamp onto a regular piece of cardstock to transfer the ink from the stamp you just used on the alcohol inked panel.  You are then left with 2 backgrounds, one on Yupo and one on regular cs.  I am just showing one of them today.
This is the one I got from the transfer and is stamped on heavy cardstock.  I love how the colour blends look and the faint ink areas make the leaves and flowers look so artsy.
When the panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment in the center and clear heat embossed it to help make it pop.
I mounted it onto a piece of blue cardstock and then onto a plain white card.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
Feeling very grateful and appreciate that you took the time.

  9. The ink lifting technique has worked beautifully with the wonderful leaves, and then one of your many brilliant sentiments so nice and shiny with the clear embossing over the top, and such a pretty blue layer to complement it. x

  11. Great work with the alcohol lift Karen. You've got one amazing card with what is basically leftover ink. So cool! I love the colours, images and design. The large sentiment is so sweet. I'm sure your friends were thrilled to get this card! Looking forward to seeing the AI panel that this design was "lifted" from. :) xx
