By the Light of the Moon

Good Morning.
Meet today's card.  Playing with a fun stamp from Lavinia.

I wanted to create a night scene and here's what I did.
I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock and positioned my Rectangle Mask over my paper so I would be left with a crisp white border when I was done.
I added a Circle Mask next as I wanted a moon in my scene.  I sponged on some Distress Oxide inks in this order:  Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans, Wilted Violet, Weathered Wood then Black Soot along the edges.  I removed the circle mask and sponged a bit of Weathered Wood over the white area left, then splattered with some water that lifted the ink to look like the craters on the moon.
When that was dry, I stamped the fairies and the flowers using my Misti.  I clear heat embossed the fairies to make them pop (not sure why my picture has the white specks as you can't see them IRL)
I removed the rectangle mask and then mounted it onto a piece of pale lavender cardstock then onto a white card base.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Sympathy

Hello and Welcome.
It's a long weekend here in Canada, so I'm glad to have some extra time to play today.
I really need to add a few more sympathy cards to my stash so this simple card is what I have come up with using some great stamps from Penny Black.

So onto my card detail.
I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock and I used an old credit card to drag wet Distress Oxide inks down the side to create a panel.  I also added the blue lines with using just the edge of the credit card pressed onto the ink pad then onto my paper.
I placed the inky piece into my Misti then stamped the sentiment (Sympathy Sentiments) and the flowers (A Floral Twist)  using some Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
To add more definition to the panel, I added some scored lines with my ScorPal then a line using my ScorBug.  Just the perfect finishing touch for a simple CAS card.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Peace

Hello and Welcome.
I'm happy that we will be celebrating a long wknd here in Canada so time to play!
These flower from Art Journey have inspired so many of my cards so I got them out and started to play.

So here are my card details.
I began by attaching my Rectangle Mask over my white card front.  Next, I sponged on some Broken China and some Shaded Lilac DOX inks with a blending brush to cover the area inside the mask.
I then added some stenciling using the Bo Ho Glam stencil and some more Broken China along the side and top of the inked area just to add some extra interest.
I removed the mask and placed the piece inside my Misti to stamp the flowers and add the sentiment.
It's really hard to see in my photo, but I scored all around the inked area to define it.
I simply mounted it onto a piece of cardstock with a coordinating colour, then onto a plain white card base.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
