By the Light of the Moon

Good Morning.
Meet today's card.  Playing with a fun stamp from Lavinia.

I wanted to create a night scene and here's what I did.
I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock and positioned my Rectangle Mask over my paper so I would be left with a crisp white border when I was done.
I added a Circle Mask next as I wanted a moon in my scene.  I sponged on some Distress Oxide inks in this order:  Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans, Wilted Violet, Weathered Wood then Black Soot along the edges.  I removed the circle mask and sponged a bit of Weathered Wood over the white area left, then splattered with some water that lifted the ink to look like the craters on the moon.
When that was dry, I stamped the fairies and the flowers using my Misti.  I clear heat embossed the fairies to make them pop (not sure why my picture has the white specks as you can't see them IRL)
I removed the rectangle mask and then mounted it onto a piece of pale lavender cardstock then onto a white card base.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

  5. Such pretty Lavinia images and beautiful scene building using some great colours for the background Karen, and the moon is so realistic with the shading and the water bleaching to give it the look of craters. x
