Life's Path

Welcome
A simple card today using this beautiful Lace Doily stencil and a few simple stamps.

I wanted to have a simple, distressed looking background for my card so I inked up the back of the stencil with some Carved Pumpkin DOX ink, sprayed with water and pressed onto my sheet of heavy white cardstock, creating a monoprint.  When I inked up the stencil, I concentrated most of the ink to the center and left the edges a bit untouched to give the distressed feel.
When the inking was dry, I placed the piece into my Misti and stamped the flowers from MFT and then the sentiment over my stencilling.  I mounted the piece onto a complimentary colour of cardstock, then onto a white card base.
That's it...simple and very fresh looking with the orange.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
