Magical Garden and Transform

Good Morning
Today, I am posting 2 cards I created for the DTGD event over at Splitcoast.
They both were created using some Yupo paper and Alcohol inks.  It's so fun and kind of addicting playing with those inks.  They blend and move in so many unexpected ways.

The card above was created with a piece of Yupo and lots of shades of blues and oranges as I was trying to use opposite colours on the Colour Wheel.
After dropping the Alcohol inks onto the paper, I used a straw to blow them and spread them across my paper.  I splattered with some Rubbing Alcohol and Rangers Blending Solution.
I die-cut the flower overlay and glued it onto the inky background and done.
I didn't add a sentiment so I could use this card for any occasion.

Here is my next card:

This was a very easy one since I used a previously inked piece of Yupo for the butterfly.
I began by stamping the script using similar colours to match the butterfly across a strip of paper.
I decided to keep this one very clean and simple with lots of white space.
I glued it all together then placed the piece into my Misti to stamp the sentiment.
While that dried, I die-cut this beautiful butterfly from the AI inked Yupo and glued it over the script.
Another simple card for a friend.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

  3. Since I'm a "less is more" stamper, that butterfly & background are STUNNING! I have an old rubber background stamp that would be perfect...thanks for the inspiration.

  11. Two gorgeous alcohol ink cards, Karen. I love your colors on your 1st card with the die cut flower overlay. Your 2nd CAS design was gorgeous with the alcohol ink die cut butterfly. Your stamped text and sentiment added interest to your butterfly, but without distracting your eye from the gorgeous butterfly. TFS my friend. Hugs..Nancy
