Simple Pleasures

Good Morning.
Here is a simple card I made using one of my favourite sets from Visible Image.  I find that flower stamp so easy to create with; I love the sketchy look it has.  I paired it up with this stencil and had myself a fun looking card.....and it's not blue!!

I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock and using some scrap paper, I masked the left edge of my paper and rubbed Cracked Pistachio DOX over my Web Wheels stencil.  I thought it would give my card a bit of a border to the side.  I love the variations of colours you can get using the DOX inks depending on how much you rub the inks over your paper.
I removed the paper I had used to mask the stenciled edge and rubbed some more ink outwards until I was happy with the look.
Next, I placed the piece into my Misti and stamped the flowers, sentiment and the splatters using my black ink.  I stamped the flower heads one more time on another piece of heavy white cardstock and fussy cut them out, then pop dotted them over the first stamped image.
I simply mounted the card front onto a plain white piece of cardstock and then onto a white card base.
I like the fresh, clean look this card has.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

  7. Cracked Pistachio is such a crisp and pretty green and the stencilled border looks great, and the VI flowers with the decoupaged flower heads look really great, and finished with a super sentiment and splatters in black are a wonderful contrast. x
