Wildflowers

Good Morning.
Something a bit different since trying new things is so fun.
I have never made a wrap-around card before and I must say, it was fun and I loved the finished look.
I like to have sympathy cards on hand and needed to add some to my stash.
I think this one will work well.

I began by cutting my heavy weight cardstock to 4 1/4 inches by 11 inches, the regular A4 size.
I scored it at the 5 1/2 inch mark then opened it flat on my surface.  I masked the sides as I wanted to only cover my card base partially with the design.
I positioned my Fleur Grillwork stencil from A Colorful Life Designs over my masked area and using some Old Paper Distress ink and a makeup applicator brush, I rubbed all over the stencil.
When I was happy with the inking, I removed the stencil and placed the piece into my Misti (it did hang out a bit but I was careful not to crush the edges) and stamped the flowers and the sentiment.
I removed the masks then glued on 2 black stripes where the masked areas would have been.
I really like the way it turned out and it was such a simple card to create.

Thanks so much for coming by to take a look.
