Leaf Print

Hello and Welcome
Meet today's card.
I just love how this turned out and it was so fun to try something new using my Gel Plate.
As I have mentioned before, I have been playing with my Gel Plate.
I found this video by Lydia Fiedler and I just had to try it out.  It is simple and fun.

So here is what I did to create my card.
I began by squeezing out some grey and black acrylic paint onto my glass mat and then rolled my brayer into the paint till my brayer was covered.
Next, I rolled the brayer over the Big Leaves stencil from A Colourful Life Designs.  It transferred the image design onto my brayer.  Be sure to just roll in one direction.  I took the brayer and rolled it onto my Gelli Plate to transfer the image over it.  I rubbed my paper over the plate to lift the print.
You just never know what you will get when using the Gelli Plate.

When the print was dry, I mounted it onto a heavy white card base.
I stamped the sentiment with some black Versafine then mounted it to one side over my front panel with some foam dots.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Here is the stencil I used:

Supplies
Stamps- Everyday Sentiments (You Next Stamp)
Inks- Versafine, Acrylic paint
Paper- heavy white (Scribes Nook)
Accessories and Tools- Gelli Plate; Big Leaf stencil (A Colorful Life Designs); brayer; pop dots

  11. This is really pretty. I'm not sure what this says about me but does anyone see what I see in the card? It looks just like a bikini top and bottom. Anyone else see it?
