Hello and Welcome
Meet today's card.
I really like the look it has with a rainbow of many colours.
Here's what I did to create my card.
I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock. I added small dots of Acrylic paint all over the panel, randomly as you can see below:
Next, using a small piece of cardboard, I pulled each dot of paint downwards just a bit. I continued doing that until all the dots were blended together as you can see below:
You can use whatever you have on hand to drag the paint, I just used a piece of cardboard so I had less clean up.
I set the piece aside to dry completely which took a bit of time.
I added the die cut sentiment and the square gems when the paint was totally dry.
I mounted it onto a piece of matching blue cardstock, then onto a heavy white card base.

ReplyDeleteWonderful card and such beautiful colours Karen, Kate x
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea for a background Karen and the three colours have mixed together brilliantly. I love the large white die cut sentiment over the top too. x
ReplyDeletesuch a cool technique Karen, I love all those splashes of colour :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning background - so effective and eye-catching, yet relatively simple too. Love that you let it steal the show by the way you mounted it, and also used a die cut over it.
ReplyDeleteStay safe
