Shadow Leaves

 Welcome
Here is a card I made awhile ago and never had a chance to post.
I just played with my inks and this great leaf set from Tim Holtz to create my card.

So here is what I did.

  • I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock. Using the Leaf Prints stamp set (love these) I inked up a leaf with some Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink, sprayed with water and stamped.
  • Without reinking, I stamped again and again onto the panel to give a faded, shadow effect.
  • I repeated that process covering my card front using various stamps from that same set. You can see where I accidently dropped on some water but it added to the look so I left it.
  • When I was happy with the coverage, I placed the piece into my Misti and stamped the sentiment with some Versafine Clair, then clear heat embossed it.
  • I simply mounted that onto a piece of white then brown, then onto a white card base.

Well that's it for today.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Adding my card to these challenges:
Everybody Art- MONOCHROMATIC

Stamps- Leaf Prints (Tim Holtz); Scripted Bold Sentiments (Pinkfresh Studios)
