Happy Christmas

Welcome
So glad you stopped by to see what I've been up to.
Here is another holiday card I made with a fun background....easy to do too.

So here's what I did to create my card.
  • The background on this card was very simple to create and took only minutes.  It was inspired by a challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.  Using a piece of vellum, I coloured the whole piece with different colours of Copic markers.  *You must use an alcohol based marker for this to work*
  • After I was happy with the colouring, I added Rubbing Alcohol with an old paintbrush to make the colours blend.  I set that aside to dry.
  • Using the Wonky Stitched die, I cut a frame and then the sentiment from some white cardstock.
  • I glued the dry piece of vellum onto a piece of white cardstock, then glued that behind the die cut frame.
  • I glued the sentiment over the frame along the bottom leaving room for the snowflake to fit.
  • I die cut a snowflake and glued that into the top corner.
  • I added foam tape to the whole back of the framed piece and glued that onto a heavy white card base.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

  12. What a fabulous background Karen - and you would get more control over the colours using Copics verses alcohol inks. A wonderful card
