Welcome
Meet today's card.
A very simple, one layer card I created using a stencil, my Distress Oxide inks and a couple of stamps.
I decided to create a one layer card as I haven't done one for so long....I'm also playing along with the DTGD Challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers.
So here's what I did to create my card.
- I cut my card base- A2 from some heavy white cardstock so my finished card was 5 1/2 x 4 1/4".
- I wanted a nice white border around my image, so I placed the Marvelous Masks Deckle Rectangle over my paper, centering it. I love using these masks, so simple to use and no more torn paper on the edges. Over that I laid the Corner Rays stencil from A Colorful Life Designs and secured them on my Make Art Station with magnets.
- Using my blender brushes, I blended on some Distress Oxide inks. (Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin) When I was happy with the inking, I removed both masks and set them aside.
- I placed the card into my Misti and stamped the Rock Silhouette to one side, the the Something Incredible sentiment on the other side.
- That's it, done in no time at all
Here are the stencils I used to create my card:
