Hello and Welcome
I hope you aren't tired of seeing my Gel Plate cards.
I find it so quick and easy to make a background using them so I keep using that tool.
I am stocking up on a few sympathy cards as people are asking for them.
So here's what I did to create my card.
- I began by assembling my tools. I got out my Gel Plate, brayer and Distress Oxide inks. (Blueprint Sketch and Rustic Wilderness)
- I pressed the Blueprint Sketch ink pad directly onto the plate, then did the same with the Rustic Wilderness on the other side leaving some space between them.
- Using my brayer, I blended the colours together, then laid some leaves from my garden onto the plate. I gently pressed the leaves into the ink, making good contact. Using a tweezers, I carefully lifted the leaves off which removed some of the colour and pressed a piece of white cardstock over the plate to lift my print. I love the impression the leaves left behind.
- To add more interest to the background, I stamped a script over the leaves using some of the Rustic Wilderness ink.
- I used my finger to rub some white acrylic paint along the edges and then splattered with my white Posca pen.
- When it was all dry, I stamped the sentiment with some black Versafine Clair ink and clear heat embossed it.
- I glued the finished panel onto some dark blue cardstock, then onto a white card base.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
