Hello and Welcome
I'm still going through my inky backgrounds to try and use some of the many I have accumulated.
Here's one I did awhile ago using Ranger Alcohol inks and some blending solution on Yupo paper.
I thought the greens would work for a holiday inspired card.
So here's what I did to create my card.
- Like I mentioned above, I found this piece in my stash. I used a piece of Yupo paper and dropped various shades of green Alcohol inks onto it, then added some Blending Solution and Rubbing Alcohol to help move the inks around. For those of you that might not know, Yupo paper is a plastic coated paper that allows inks to move on the surface.
- I placed the inked piece into my die cutting machine and cut it with the Hemstitch rectangle.
- I got out some white cardstock and die cut the Snowflake Window frame 2 times and glued them together. It fit perfectly inside the Hemstitched area.
- While the glue dried, I stamped the sentiment strip in my Misti with some black Versafine Clair ink, cut it out and pop dotted it over the die cut.
- I glued it all onto a heavy white card base and finally added a green gem to the center.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
