You've Got my Heart

Welcome
Had some time to make a few Valentine cards to have on hand.
I made this one in more of a masculine style/ colour.

So here's what I did to create my card.
  • I pulled out my Stencil Mat and placed the Marvelous Mask Heart over my paper.
  • Next, I layered this Pretty Victorian stencil right over the heart mask and rubbed some Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink into the center, then rubbed some Peacock Feathers around the outside until all was covered with ink.
  • I removed the mask and stencil and then fussy cut out the heart.
  • I stamped the sentiment over the center of the heart.
  • I splattered with my white Posca pen and while that dried, I stamped the background.  To do that, I placed my cardstock into my Misti and stamped the dots with more Cracked Pistachio, turned the cardstock in my Misti 180 degrees and stamped again so the dots covered the center area of my panel.
  • I glued the stamped panel onto a piece of blue cardstock, then onto a heavy white card base.
  • I foam dot mounted the heart over that.

Here are the stencils I used:
