Let's Gather

Welcome and Happy World Cardmaking Day!!!
Fall is here and the cooler temperatures are in the air.
Today's card features a great new stencil called Leaves and Acorns from A Colorful Life Designs.
A very simple one to create.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I cut a piece of white cardstock and placed the Leaves and Acorns stencil onto my Make Art Station.
  • I began inking just the middle area with some Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink.
  • I inked above and below with some Carved Pumpkin DOX ink and then finally some Mustard seed just along the top and bottom edges.
  • After removing the stencil, I inked along the edges of the stenciled panel with more of the Mustard Seed ink.
  • I took the stenciled panel and die cut the leaf from the center.
  • I stamped the sentiment onto the leaf, then splattered the card with my black Posca pen.
  • I glued the panel onto a piece of red cardstock, then onto an A2 card base.
  • I tied a piece of twine around the stem of the leaf, then pop dotted it back into place on the card front.

Here is the stencil I used:
