Embrace the Moments

Good Morning.
Today's card features the newly released Intricate Diamonds stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.
This stencil is a good one for creating some lovely background for your images.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I got out my Gel Plate for this one.  Using Distress Oxides on my Gel Plate is a super simple way to create any background,  Easy clean up too!
  • I pressed my Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink pad directly onto the plate, then some Carved Pumpkin in the middle and some Lumberjack Plaid on the right hand side.  Using a brayer, I blended them together.
  • I laid the Intricate Diamonds stencil over the plate and rubbed a piece of scrap paper over the plate.
  • I removed the stencil and rubbed my cardstock over the plate to create the print.  The ink dries quickly, so I was able to move onto the stamping.
  • I placed the print into my Misti and stamped the flowers along the side.
  • I splattered with my black Posca pen just over the area of the flowers.
  • I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock and inked the edges.
  • I glued the finished panel onto a piece of black cardstock, then onto an A2 sized card base.
  • I popped the sentiment to the side.

Here is the stencil I used:
