Painted Hello

Welcome
Today's card features one of the new stencils for July called Layered Arches from A Colorful Life Designs.
I decided to use it in a different way.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I cut a piece of white cardstock and got out the new to me Catherine Pooler Carnivale ink set. I then decided what colours I wanted to use on the panel. I'm using one of the Paint Swatches stamps from the Simon Hurley set to do this technique.
Here is the stamp from the set I used.

  • I inked up the smallest stamp from the Paint Swatches set with some Grape Crush and pressed that onto the bricks of the Layered Arches stencil to impress the pattern of the bricks, then stamped it to one side of my panel.
  • I repeated that same process, stamping from left to right using some All That Jazz, Samba and finally some Be Mine ink.
  • When the panel was dry, I die cut the shadow from the 'hello' die right from the center. I then die cut the word from some white cardstock and glued them together.
  • I didn't have any matching blue cardstock to use as a border, so I inked up another piece of white cardstock with some All That Jazz ink and glued the finished panel onto that.
  • I glued that onto an A2 sized card base and used some foam tape to pop the sentiment back into place over the panel.

Here is the stencil I used:
