Smile Today

Welcome
This month's new releases at A Colorful Life Designs are so fun.
For today's card, I used the new Viewmaster and the new Marvelous Masks Postage Stamp.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I cut a piece of white cardstock and placed one of the Marvelous Postage masks over the center of my card front so when I was finished, I would have a nice white border.
  • I laid the Viewmaster stencil over that and inked the middle area with some Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink and then some Ripe Persimmon DOX ink around the edges.
  • I shifted the stencil and then inked again using some Picked Raspberry DOX ink.
  • I lifted off just the Viewmaster stencil, leaving the mask in place and splattered with my black Posca pen and set aside to dry.
  • I removed the mask and placed the panel into my Misti to stamp the flowers and the sentiment.
  • To add more interest and a framed effect, I used my Scorboard to add a scored line all around the outer edge of the inking to add extra interest.
  • I glued the panel onto a piece of orange cardstock and then onto an A2 sized card base.

Here is the stencil and masks I used:

  1. those masks look amazing, Karen, and I love how you have used it on this vibrant card. Fun stencilling also, with having moved the stencil between layers
