Hello and Welcome
Today's card is a fun one...kind of nostalgic feeling.
I'm using the new for August stencil called Dot Square Grid from A Colorful Life Designs and this super fun stamp set called Feelin Fizzy.
So, here's what I did to create my card.
- I got out my Gel Plate, brayer and cut a piece of white cardstock.
- I inked up my Gel Plate by pressing the Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide ink pad down the middle of my plate, then I pressed my Picked Raspberry DOX pad along each side of the orange.
- I used my brayer to blend and smooth out the colours, then placed the Dot Square Grid stencil over that. Leaving the stencil in place, I rubbed my white cardstock over the Gel Plate, taking the first print.
- I removed the stencil and placed the cardstock back onto the plate again, picking up more colour and pattern.
- I set that aside and stamped the pop bottles using the same colours as I used for the background. I used the die to cut the bottles out and then stamped the sentiment and cut that out too.
- I added some bubbles from the stamp set to the top area of the panel and then splattered the whole piece with my white Posca pen.
- I glued the main panel onto a piece of pink cardstock and then onto an A2 sized card base.
- I used some foam tape to pop up the bottles and the sentiment.
Here is the stencil I used:

This stencil makes a great retro background to go with the rather vintage looking 'pop' bottles Karen and love the bright pink and orange together with just the black for the fun complementary sentiment. x
