Floral Postage

Hello and Welcome
Here is another card I created using the new for February stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:
Retro Flower Duo
This stencil has 2 flower designs on it and this time, I used both in combination.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I die cut a piece of white cardstock with the Postage Collage die  and placed it onto my Make Art Station.
  • I masked around the squares and placed one of the flower from the Retro Flower Duo stencil over the first square and inked it up with some Lumberjack Plaid Distress ink.
  • I wanted to add some depth of colour to the flowers, so I blended some Villainous Potion DOX ink right over the center of the flower.  I used some Rustic Wilderness DOX ink for the stems.
  • I continued using the same colours and moving the stencil around to ink each box.
  • After all the squares were stenciled, I splattered with my white Posca pen and removed the masks.
  • While that dried, I stamped the sentiment, the small detail leaves on top and bottom of the sentiment and then die cut it out.
  • I glued the stenciled panel onto a piece of dark burgundy cardstock, then onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • I used some foam tape to pop the sentiment over the background.

Here is the stencil I used:

  6. Beautiful. I love how you used a large floral stencil for your postage collage die cut. Clever! The bright colors are welcomed on this cold, dreary winter day. Thanks for joining us at Addicted to Stamps and More!
