Holiday Time

Good Morning
Meet the newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:
It's a nice one that includes 2 good sized snowflakes.

Here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed one of the snowflakes from the Stellar Snowflakes stencil over a piece of white cardstock in the top corner and inked it up with some Broken China Distress Oxide ink. I added some Villainous Potion DOX ink to the centers of the snowflakes to add more detail.
  • I lifted the stencil up and then placed the next snowflake to the side and inked with the same colours mentioned above.
  • I inked the first snowflake again into the bottom corner to give me 3 snowflakes across my panel.
  • To add more interest and to fill in some of the white space, I used an eraser on the end of a pencil and added the dots with the same colours I used for the snowflakes.
  • I splattered the whole panel with my white Posca pen and set aside to dry.
  • I die cut the sentiment with some navy cardstock and then cut the word shadow from the dried stenciled panel and glued those two together.
  • I glued the panel onto a piece of navy and then onto an A2 sized white card base.
  • I used some foam tape to add the sentiment back into the panel matching up the pattern.

Here is the stencil I used:

  1. The snowflakes look brilliant stencilled in that wonderful blue and purple Karen, and the fill in dots using the eraser on the end of a pencil looks great...a beautiful seasonal card. x
