Sweet Kitty

Good Morning
Here is another great 'pet' stencil for July from A Colorful Life Designs called:
I thought this would make a good pet sympathy card.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I began by placing the CAT CURLICUE stencil over a piece of white cardstock and inked it up with some Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide ink.
  • I lifted that stencil off and placed the Patterned Noise stencil from last month, over the top and inked just around the cat with some Shaded Lilac, Ripe Persimmon, Picked Raspberry and some Peacock Feathers DOX ink. By stenciling around the image, it helped to ground it and added colour and more interest.
  • I placed my stenciled card front into my Misti to stamp the sentiment over to the side.
  • Using the end of a pencil eraser, I stamped in the 2 eyes of the cat and stenciled in a few extra cat paws along the right hand side.
  • I glued it onto a piece of navy cardstock and then onto a white square 4 1/4" card base.
  • I finished my card off by adding 3 black gems around the sentiment.

Here are the stencils I used:
