Christmas Peace Doves

Good Morning

Todays card features 2 stencils from A Colorful Life Designs.

The new one is called:

PEACE DOVE SET

This set has 4 lovely shaped doves on it and I used 3 of them for my card.

I combined that with an older released stencil called 

Middle Square

So, here's what I did to create my card.

• I placed the Peace Dove stencil over a piece of cardstock and inked 3 of the 4 designs with some Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink.
• Leaving that stencil in place, I put the Middle Square stencil right over the top of it and inked again with some Chipped Sapphire DOX ink. I love the look of the contrasting inks.
• I removed the stencils and cut the doves out and glued them onto a piece of blue cardstock.
• I decided that the images would fit perfectly on a mini slimline card base (a Mini Slimline card is 6" x 3") so I cut a piece of white cardstock 6 x 6" and scored at 3" then folded in half to make my card base.
• I used some foam tape to pop the panels up and lined them across the card base.
• Using the same colours as mentioned above, I inked a scrap piece of white cardstock, splattered with my white Posca pen then used that to die cut the PEACE sentiment. I used some more of the foam tape to add the sentiment across the bottom edge.
