"April Showers bring May flowers."
Such a great time of year when nature emerges from it's sleep and all the green begins to appear again.
then the colour of the flowers.
Meet today's card. I tried to depict the rainy showers in the background using a stencil and Bister.
I laid my stencil on my card front then sprinkles Bister over it. Next, I sprayed with water lightly being sure to cover the whole stencil and removed it right away to help avoid the ink seeping under the stencil. It left behind a lovely speckled, rainy feeling look.
When it was all dry, I stamped the flowers using Memento black ink and the sentiment.
