Burst of Colour

Morning.
Here is today's card using my new flower stamp from Penny Black called Pop Pop Poppy.
I think my favourite type of stamps to play with are my flower stamps.  You can add so many colours and techniques when stamping with them and they always look beautiful.  I really like this one because I can easily get the look of watercolouring with this stamp and it's so easy.

I cut a piece of watercolour paper then using Memento markers, coloured the flowers.  When they were all coloured, I sprayed with water and stamped.  The Memento markers are water-based so by adding the water you are able to blend the colours so beautifully.   I thought the orange and yellow worked well for Spring as I am craving colour in my life right now.
When the flowers were dry, I stamped the Happy Birthday from the Sprinkles and Smiles stamp set.  It has some really fun sayings for birthdays.

I am adding my card to these challenges:

CASology- SPRING

Seize the Birthday- ANYTHING GOES

Simon Says- BIRTHDAY

Shopping Our Stash- NO FOOLIN' FAUX
(faux watercolouring)

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
Hope you enjoy a wonderful long weekend.

Supplies:  stamps- Penny Black/ Memento markers/ Memento bl ink/ Mini Mister
