Oh Baby!

New babies smell amazing .
This week my special friends welcomed a baby girl into their family so I needed a card.

I began by stamping the booties from Serendipity Stamps onto white cardstock using black Memento ink.  I then coloured them using Copic markers, fussy cut them out and glued a tiny pearl onto the bow.
To create the circle, I cut a circle mask using a Spellbinders die and sponged on pink Distress ink.  To help define the circle, I used my Copic markers and a technique called Pointillism to add interest.
Pointillism is basically little dots of colours blended using a clear blending pen.
The finishing touches were to add the piercing and stamp the sentiment.

Adding my card to these challenges:

Serendipity Stamps- MONOCHROMATIC

CASology- PRECIOUS

Addicted to Stamps- ANYTHING GOES

Brown Sugar- ANYTHING GOES

Use Your Stuff- ANYTHING GOES

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Supplies:  stamps- Serendipity, Mark's Finest/ Copic markers/ Distress and Memento ink/ piercing tool/ die for mask/ sponging applicator/ pearls

  18. Lovely little booties, Karen! Superb coloring and fussy cutting. I especially like them this week because I have a new baby niece. She was born on Sunday. :) Unfortunately we are an ocean apart so I'm missing that amazing new baby smell. Thanks for playing along at ATSM this week. Melissa - DT
