Meet today's card.
Christmas meets watercolouring.
To create my card, I began by grabbing my MISTI and inked up the Full Bloom stamp using Memento markers to colour the image. Next, I added some images from the Nature's Gifts set by inking again with Memento markers and spraying with water to blend the colours.
When that was all dry, I went back with a bit of Salty Ocean Distress ink and watercoloured the background. I added some splatters as well for interest and finally stamped the sentiment.
Adding my card to these challenges:
The Male Room- CHRISTMAS
Cardz 4 Galz- CHRISTMAS
Crafting By Design- HERE COME THE HOLIDAYS
Crafty Creations- HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Inspiration Destination- ANYTHING GOES
Thanks so very much for coming by and taking a look.
Supplies: stamps- Penny Black/ Memento markers/ Distress ink/ MISTI/ paint brush/ Memento bl ink

Those stamp sets work well together they way you use them, Karen. I think it's difficult to paint the background after but your looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!!! Thank you for joining us at Cardz 4 Galz, good luck!!! Amy DT
ReplyDeleteWONDERFUL card, Karen! Looks like a fabulous, warm-weather Christmas! We are not having a white Christmas here in the upper midwest, either. :( This will be 6 out of 7 yrs without a white Christmas. The last time we actually had snow on Xmas was 5" on in 2010. All I am asking for is a white covering to blanket the ground. Not much. Hee.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! You are so talented, my friend. This is one amazing card. Have a very Merry Christmas. Loll xx
